Mark F. Baseman

Attorney

Mark F. Baseman, Esq., began his career as a family law litigator with Older & Lundy in 2011. In 2016, he became a founding partner of Felix, Felix & Baseman, LLC, where he developed a practice focused almost exclusively on family law appeals. In 2026, Mark brought his appellate practice to Harris, Hunt & Derr, P.A.

With more than a decade of experience in family law, Mark has developed a particular focus on appellate matters and the complex legal issues that can arise both during and after family law litigation. His background as a litigator provides him with a practical understanding of how decisions made at the trial court level can shape a case on appeal.

In addition to his appellate practice, Mark is actively involved in the family law legal community. He frequently teaches continuing legal education courses on appellate law and regularly contributes articles to legal publications, including Lawyer Magazine and the Florida Bar Family Law Commentator. He also serves as editor of the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Lawyer Magazine.

Mark earned his Bachelor of Science in Communication and Master of Science in Rhetorical and Political Communication Theory from Florida State University before earning his Juris Doctor from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law.
