Ms. Harris is a founding member, past Co-Chair and current Board Member of the Tampa Bay Academy of Collaborative Professionals; past Vice President and Board Member of the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals; current member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals; past member and committee chair of the Florida Bar Family Law Section Executive Committee; current member of the Family Law Rules Committee of the Florida Bar Family Law Section; past Chair and current member of the Executive Committee of Hillsborough County’s Marital and Family Law section; member of the Global Collaborative Law Council; member of the Canakaris Inns of Court; member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and of the Hillsborough Association of Women Lawyers.
Ms. Harris is a frequent lecturer at Continuing Legal Education programs throughout Florida. She presented at the 31st Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the 48th Annual Conference of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the 2016 Annual Conference of the Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the 5th European Collaborative Practice Conference in Amsterdam.
Ms. Harris received the Hillsborough County Family Law Professionalism Award, selected by her attorney peers as having exemplified the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in the practice of family law. She was also recognized for her outstanding contributions to the collaborative movement by the Tampa Bay Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
Ms. Harris formerly served on the Academy Prep Center Board of Trustees and the United Way Board of Trustees; is currently on the Board of the Tampa Theatre and the Morean Arts Center Board of Trustees; and participates in the Lawyers for Literacy program.
For recreation, she participates in Le Tastevin and Les Chaines des Rotisseurs; summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania in September, 2010, completed the Tour of Mont Blanc, France in June, 2011, reached Everest’s Base Camp in April, 2014, traversed Coast to Coast England in July, 2015, and trekked the GR20 trail in Corsica in 2016.
